Help with reading and/or study skills in all subjects. Small group assistance for students in the areas of note taking, test preparation, listening skills, time management, stress, test anxiety, and writing research papers. Locations and times vary throughout the academic year. Call for more information.

Tutoring Services – Tutoring Office

One-on-one tutoring is available for most courses.  This service helps students review class material, understand concepts, and improve study strategies.  All tutors are screened and trained by the Department of Developmental Studies.

Writing Lab

Tutors are available to assist students with writing assignments at any level.  Services include preparation of papers, proofreading, and help with scientific writing.  Appointments are recommended.

Services are provided to assist students to prepare for professional opportunities after graduation.  These services include: Career Library, Career programs and workshops, individual/group consultation, on-campus interviewing, internships and summer jobs, computer assisted career planning, testing service, and credential service.

Organizes a full range of community service opportunities for the KU community.  Service opportunities include tutoring and mentoring, environmental clean-ups, soup kitchens, visiting the elderly, and alternative spring break trips.

This Center attempts to sensitize the university community to a range of gender concerns.  The Center works with groups both on and off campus to foster sensitivity to women’s needs and to provide programs for all members of the university community.
