Christopher Bloh, Ph.D., BCBA-D
Christopher Bloh holds a B.A. in Anthropology, an Ed.M. in Special Education, an Ed.M. in Educational Psychology, and a Ph.D. in Educational Psychology from Temple University. He is also a Board Certified Behavior Analyst who provides classroom consultation in behavior management and differentiating instruction. Before arriving at Kutztown University, Doctor Bloh taught students with autism and those with physical and cognitive disabilities in Philadelphia. His areas of research interest include classroom and behavior management through Applied Behavior Analysis and the increase in communication for people with autism using Verbal Behavior. Kathy Buschan, EdS
Kathy Buschan holds a BBA in Marketing from Pace University, a M.S. in Special Education from Dominican College, and an EdS in Educational Leadership & Management Policy from Seton Hall University. She is currently a Doctoral candidate at Capella University. Prior to coming to Kutztown, Professor Buschan worked as a teacher supervisor, project coordinator, adjunct professor, and a special education teacher for students with emotional challenges in New Jersey. Pei-Fang Wu, Ph.D., BCBA
Dr. Pei-Fang Wu is an instructor at Kutztown University in the area of special education. She earned her B.S. in special education in Taiwan. She holds a master's degree in Special Education from Bristol University in U.K., and another in Applied Behavior Analysis from Columbia University. She received her Ph.D. in Special Education/Applied Behavior Analysis from The Ohio State University. Dr. Wu is also a certified behavior analyst, and certified special education teacher in Taiwan and New York State. Her research generally focuses on the application of evidence-based practices and behavioral strategies to teach functional skills for students with moderate to severe developmental disabilities. Specifically, she studies the use of technology to teach daily living skills and self-management skills to individuals with developmental disabilities. Diane King, Ph.D
Diane King holds a B.A. in Psychology, a M.A. in Special Education, and a Ph.D. in Special Education from Lehigh University. She also has instructional certification in Early Childhood Education, Special Education, and supervisor certification in Special Education. Prior to arriving at Kutztown University, she obtained tenure at a university in New Jersey and taught at two local independent colleges. Before starting her career in higher education, she taught preschool children with disabilities in New Jersey and supervised special education teachers in the Allentown School District. Dr. King's research interests include Response to Intervention issues, educational needs of special education multi-cultural students, and effective teacher education practices. Debra Lynch, Ph.D. (Department Chair)
Debra Lynch holds a B.S. in Special Education, an M.A. and a Ph.D. in Special Education from the University of Virginia. Prior to teaching at Kutztown, Dr. Lynch taught primary aged students with physical disabilities in Independence, Missouri. While teaching in Missouri, Dr. Lynch directed the summer school program for students with special needs and was instrumental in promoting including children with disabilities in general education classrooms and activities. Dr. Lynch's research areas of interest include functional academic instruction and modifications for successful inclusion of all students with disabilities. Whitney Moores-Abdool, Ed.D.
Whitney Moores-Abdool holds an Educational Doctorate in Exceptional Student Education with a cognate in Urban Education from Florida International University (FIU) in Miami, Florida. She earned her Masters in Social Work from Florida International University and her Bachelors from North Carolina State University in Raleigh, North Carolina. She worked as a graduate teaching assistant at FIU in the Exceptional Student Education department for 3-years. Her professional experiences include K-12 general and special education teaching, as well as university teaching, mental health counseling for children, and a variety of social work experiences.
David Ross, Ed.D.
David Ross holds a B.S.Ed in Elementary Education, M.Ed. in Special Education and an Ed.D. in Special Education (Visual Impairment, Orientation and Mobility and Deafblindness) from Texas Tech University. Prior to coming to Kutztown, Dr. Ross taught students with visual impairment. Dr. Ross is a Past President of the Division on Visual Impairment/Council for Exceptional Children, currently serves on national and state committees, presents and publishes research, is a consultant for the National Coalition for the Deafblind, and is a peer reviewer for the Journal of Visual Impairment and Blindness. He is a recipient of the Annual Outstanding Support Award from Overbrook School for the Blind, the Outstanding Research and Publication Award from the Pennsylvania Association of Supervision and Curriculum Development and served as consultant on visual impairment to a script writer for Twentieth Century Fox Television. Kathleen Stanfa, Ph.D
Kathleen Stanfa holds a B.A and M. A. in English Literature, and an M.Ed. and Ph.D. in Special Education from the University of Pittsburgh. Prior to arriving at Kutztown University, Doctor Stanfa taught high school language arts and later secondary-level special education in New York City.
