The VI program is the only undergraduate program of its kind in Pennsylvania. It operates in conjunction with the elementary education program. Students complete all elementary education certification requirements. In addition, field based experiences are provided in both an elementary education classroom and in a setting serving students with visual impairments. Program graduates are certified to teach in regular elementary education program and in special education programs for students with visual impairments (K-12).
