"General education" is a part of almost every college curriculum: the communications and analytic skills it enhances, as well as the understanding of diverse disciplines it brings, are important for both employment and for being a responsible citizen in a democracy. The general education requirement is 60 semester hours and includes courses in:
English Composition
Speech
