Dr. Logan is a former federal law enforcement officer, having started his career as a Special Agent with the United States Drug Enforcement Administration. He served with several agencies including the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency and the U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission. He was a Special Assistant United States Attorney in the District of Columbia and the Eastern District of Virginia, where he is presently admitted to practice law. He is also admitted to practice in numerous other courts, including the U.S. Supreme Court and the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Fourth Circuit. Dr. Logan is a former U.S. Army Reserve Officer, Major, Military Police Corps; while with a USAR School, he taught Nuclear-Biological-Chemical Defense Courses. He also participated in curriculum development at the Federal Law Enforcement Training Center.
Dr. Logan is also a consultant specializing in the investigation of Whistleblower Retaliation allegations and EEO concerns.
His current research interest focuses on homeland security and intelligence.
His interest in terrorism has led him to publish an edited book, Homeland Security and Intelligence (Westport, CT: Praeger Publications, 2010). He is currently working on a second edited book-An introduction to Homeland Security-which will be published by Westview Press in 2012.
