Jane M. Tucker comes to Kutztown with thirteen years of policing experience in both the municipal and university settings. During her policing career she received training in specialty areas such as accident investigation, sexual abuse investigation, community policing, hate crime, domestic abuse, and communications. She was also a field training officer.
Upon receiving her Masters Degree from West Chester University in 1999, Professor Tucker was recognized as the Most Outstanding Graduate in the Criminal Justice Program. She has won first place in several criminal justice paper contests and has been published in American Police Beat and Police Magazine. Her research interests include police adjustment to trauma and police policy and development. She is currently attending Temple University to earn her Ph.D. in Criminal Justice.
Jane M. Tucker also is co-owner of Steel City Coffee House in Phoenixville, PA. Steel City is a European-style coffeehouse and an active music venue.
