Below you'll find clips from several of the productions students may be involved in while here. These programs all air on several different area cable systems, serving the Lehigh Valley and Berks County areas, giving our viewers some great programming while at the same time, giving our students real life experiences and the opportunity to have their efforts air. Students are always encouraged to include samples of their work on resume reels.

Between the lines is a new addition to our programming this year and is crewed by students enrolled in TVR 217, Studio Production Workshop, and produced by a student enrolled in TVR 387, Program Producers Workshop. Students work on all aspects of studio production including scripting and promotion. Positions include camera, floor manager, audio engineer, assistant director, technical director and director. Students keep up with KU sports and gather footage of practices and games to be used in the show. Taping is done in our fully equipped, state of the art studio. The experience they gain as a result of their efforts will serve them well in the real world of television and new media. They will be fully aware of the time, commitment and skills involved in producing a studio program. Each semester the class produces at least 8 new episodes.

Camera One is a 30-minute magazine format program that is produced by students enrolled in three seperate classes; TVR 357, Video Field Production Workshop, TVR 367, Post Production Workshop, and TVR 387, Program Producers Workshop. These students work together as teams to produce either the entire 30-minute show or individual feature packages to be included in the show. The show is designed to highlight places and people of interest in the Lehigh Valley, Berks County area and airs on our local cable system as well as RCN Cable serving the Lehigh Valley. The specific course the student is enrolled in determines whether they are a shooter, editor, or a program or feature producer. Field shooting, digital editing or producing skills, learned in previous production courses, are refined. Each semester students produce 5 new episodes.

KU Football and other multi-camera remotes, are produced by students enrolled in TVR 355, Multi-Camera Production. This course is taught incorporating the KU remote production vehicle, which is a virtual duplicate of the studio production control room. Each different type of production (concert, sporting event, etc.) is analyzed in the courses' pre-production meetings. Here the students determine the approach taken as well as the equipment and staffing requirements for a successful production. The productions are aired either live or by tape delay on our local cable system that serves over 25,000 homes in Berks County.
