The Department of Foreign Languages is proud to present its new German studies program!

(General Education: 60 s.h., 
Major: 69 s.h. min.
Minor 18 s.h. min)  

 

    This program is intended for students who wish to concentrate on Central Europe, with Germany as the economic leader on the European continent.  Students interested in a career in international business, foreign relations, or possibly with the U.S. Department of State or related government agencies should consider this curriculum, in which German Language and culture, with emphasis on current events, are studied in an interdisciplinary approach.  German Culture and Civilization, plus selected literature courses are offered IN ENGLISH, along with Business German, and apporved courses in geography, history, and political science, stressing the truly interdisciplinary nature of this concentration.

    The new German Studies program will be available beginning in fall 1999 semester.
