Ryan Moyer

I have been working as a research assistant for the National Coral Reef Institute for the past three years. I feel I came out of Kutztown well prepared for the challenges that academia and research pose, and was able to apply much of what I learned at Kutztown and the Marine Science Consortium to my graduate studies. I just earned my Masters Degree in Marine Biology and am now being considered for PhD fellowships at several different universities. None of my professional and academic accomplishments would have been possible without the education and experience gained while at Kutztown. Heidi Williams

Having been a part of the real world for two years, I realized that Kutztown University provided me with a well-rounded background in marine science, biology and chemistry which has enabled me to remain actively involved in marine science post graduation. As a KU undergraduate I was required to take courses at the Marine Science Consortium at Wallops Island, VA and was also given the opportunity to conduct independent research. These two experiences, along with remaining in contact with professors, helped me acquire marine mammal internships and assistantships, a teaching position at the Marine Science Consortium, and ultimately acceptance into a graduate program.
