he mission of the Kutztown University Department of Music is to provide music majors, minors and concomitants with a quality musical education and to provide non-music majors, for whom the study of music in an integral part of the liberal arts education, with an understanding and
lifelong enjoyment of music, by offering historical, theoretical, pedagogical and performance courses, integrated with the development of listening skills, critical thinking, and an awareness of aesthetic principles and contemporary technology.
