John Jadus is an active free-lance musician in both symphonic and commercial
fields and holds a Master of Music degree from Temple University. As a symphonic
musician Mr. Jadus has performed and recorded with the Louisville Orchestra
under both Robert Whitney and Jorge Mester. In addition, he performed on
bassoon with the Louisville Woodwind Quintet. He has also played bassoon with
the National Ballet of Canada during their summer residency at Lincoln Center in
New York and toured with the Pennsylvania Ballet. Mr. Jadus has also performed
with a large number of orchestras including Harrisburg Symphony, Delaware
Orchestra, Reading Symphony, Reading Pops, and Ocean City (NJ) Pops.
John Jadus has been first bassoonist with
Kennett Symphony of Chester County since 1975. For 10 years he has been a member
of La Chambre D’Anches, a reed trio active in Delaware. The trio has toured in
the East and Midwest including a performance for a national convention of
college instrumental music teachers. La Chambre D’Anches served as artists in
residence at the Maryland Center for the Arts and have commissioned a piece for
reed trio and narrator titled “Max and Moritz” that was performed at Wolf Trap
in Virginia.
John Jadus doubles on carinet, bass
clarinet, saxophone, and flute and has played in the pit orchestras of the
Pennsylvania Ballet, the DuPont Playhouse Theater in Wilmington, the Walnut
Street Theater and the Mann Center in Philadelphia, the Brandywiners, Harrisburg
Opera, and various other opera and ballet productions.
Jadus has also performed in various big
bands including Myron Floren, Bob Crosby, Benny Goodman, Sammy Kaye, Ray
McKinley, and in 1985 he played the inaugural ball of President Reagan with the
Jimmy Dorsey Orchestra.
