Kutztown University Alumni Jazz Band

he KU Alumni musicians have been an active part of the KU Music program for many years. Alumni of the KU Jazz Band have participated in KU Jazz Bands concerts dating back to 1988. In September 1997, the Alumni Jazz Band “officially” became organized under the direction and guidance of Professor Emeritus Richard G. Wells. The KU Alumni Jazz Band performs music that salutes the Jazz Bands of the 40’s through the 21st century.

The KU Alumni Jazz Band has rehearsals on the 2nd and 4th Monday nights from 7:00 pm to 9:00 pm in the band rehearsal room in the back of Old Main. The rehearsals are in the months of October, November, February, and March.
