Advanced Standing Program

Advanced standing status may be granted to students who possess the Bachelor’s of Social Work (BSW) degree from a CSWE accredited program. Advanced standing allows students to complete the program in one calendar year. As is the practice in most Master of Social Work programs, these students may qualify to transfer as many as 18 credits of their undergraduate work into their graduate programs. These credits constitute the bulk of the course work in the foundation year. Advanced standing students then revisit generalist concepts and become grounded in the family in environment perspective in the summer before they begin the advanced year of studies.

Part-Time Course of Study

Due to the focus of the program in meeting the needs of the professional community and the non-traditional student population, in addition to the full-time and advance study program designs, more flexible part-time courses of study are offered. More specifically, a three year and a four year design are offered. All part-time programs are designed to confirm to CSWE accreditation standards.
