Biographical Statement:

Charles Howard is a lecturer in the Department of Social Work and received his M.S.W. and M.A. in Public Policy and Management from The Ohio State University in 1997.  He is currently a Ph D. Candidate in Social Welfare at the Mandel School of Social Sciences, Case Western Reserve University.  Charles spent the past eight years working as a Hospital Administrator in Uganda, East Africa.  His other professional experiences include working in various private and public agencies in child welfare.  His main research interests are international social work, AIDS Orphans and the study of organizations and policy.  Charles is a Licensed Social Worker (LSW) in Pennsylvania.
