Text Box:   Our Mission The mission of the Social Welfare Club is to Benefit students and the community by the Actions and effects of promoting the social work program of  Kutztown University. Vision The Social Welfare club will establish itself as an educational entity that aids in professional development, service the community, motivates social action, promotes economic and social justice issues in a global perspective, respects and promotes diversity and is financially self-sufficient. Club Goals - Complete 200 hours of volunteer service during each semester - To raise $400.00 during the academic year - Provide six opportunities for Social Action during the academic year - To establish public relations that would help the club to promote activities and student involvement - Promote professional development opportunities - Promote educational activities for the students to provide an opportunity for professional development   Meeting Dates/ Fall 2008 All the meeting will be held in OM 136 at 11am November 18th- General Meeting/ Social   November 25th- Dr. Lyter Guest Speaker on Social Work Safety in Field   December 2nd- Guest Speaker- TBD
