- Tartuffe
This sparkling comedy, translated into English verse by Richard Wilbur, examines what happens when a wealthy pillar of the community is taken in by a con artist pretending to be a man of God. A merciless yet merry critique of the dangers of religious fervor and acting on beliefs contrary to evidence, Tartuffe remains a fresh and delightful treat for modern audiences. Performed by KU students under the direction of theatre professor Roxane Rix.
