Roxane Rix
Roxane Rix, Associate Professor, teaches acting, directing, and and other performance and theatre courses, and regularly directs KU theatre productions.
Prof. Rix's publications include articles and a book chapter on her specialty, Alba Emoting, a new, non-psychological technique for emotional freedom for actors. The senior instructor of the technique in the US, she maintains an informational web site on behalf of the non-profit organization Alba Emoting North America ( www.AlbaEmotingNA.org). Prof. Rix holds an MFA in Directing from the University of Minnesota, a Certificate in Acting and Directing from Sonia Moore's American Stanislavski Theatre, and Level 5 Certification in Alba Emoting.
