Welcome to the Graduate Studies program at Kutztown University of Pennsylvania!  Please follow these steps to assist you with getting started in your graduate course work: 

Step I - Seek Advisement:

Accepted degree candidates will find the name of their academic advisor as well as contact information in their acceptance letter.  Please contact them to discuss your curriculum prior to registering for  course work. 

Professional credit students (non-degree) should contact the academic department in which they are taking course work for assistance. Contact information is included with the acceptance letter.

Step 2- Register for classes:

  Registration is completed through online student services.  To access this, please visit https://portal.kutztown.edu/oss/login.asp.  Please use the ID Login portal. Your student identification number and four digit pin appears in the acceptance letter. It is recommended that you change your pin number to something more familiar after logging in for the first time.

Step 3 - Make arrangements for payment:

Included with the acceptance letter is information regarding the billing cycles as well as payment plan information and deferred billing options. All outstanding accounts must be reconciled by the first day of school. Please e-mail bursar@kutztown.edu for further assistance. Questions regarding loan deferment should be directed to the Financial Aid Services Office: finaid-web@kutztown.edu

Step 4 - Activate your KU e-mail account

Kutztown University graduate students are required to activate their KU e-mail account. Instructions appear on the log in screen of your online student services account. You can link your personal e-mail to your KU account.  I

Step 5 - Search for Text Books and other course materials:

  The KU bookstore can supply you with a complete list of all required textbooks of each of your graduate classes.  Please visit their website at:  http://www.kutztownubookstore.com/. 

Textbooks and other supplemental materials can be purchased online!

Step 6 - Obtain your Student I.D. Card:

All graduate student (both degree and non-degree) should obtain a student identification card through the One Card Office located on the first floor of the McFarland Student Union Building.  Access to the library databases from off campus locations can only be obtained by students who possess a valid i.d.  The first card is free.  Replacement cards are $15. Step 7 - Obtain a parking decal:

 Students can pre-register their vehicles through their online student services account ( select “Administration” and “Vehicle Registration” follow instructions)  Decals may be picked up at Public Safety & Police Services office (Old Main 13).  This office is located in the basement level of the building.  Office hours during the academic year (fall/spring) are M-F 8am to 4:30pm.  Summer hours, M-F 8am to 4pm.  YOU MUST BRING YOUR DRIVER’S LICENSE AND VEHICLE REGISTRATION WITH YOU WHEN PICKING UP YOUR DECAL.
