What is the GSA?
The Graduate Student Association (GSA) is the representative body for graduate students at Kutztown University of Pennsylvania. It is the graduate students' voice in the college community. Currently, then GSA meets once a semester. The GSA also sponsors activities and seminars on campus for graduate students.
Who is a member of the GSA?
All graduate Students are members of the GSA. It is made up and run solely by graduate students.
How can I participate?
The meetings and workshops are all FREE to graduate students, so all you have to do is show up. It is helpful to contact the Graduate Office to RSVP, so we know how many people to expect.
Where can I find someone from the GSA?
The GSA is run by students, but we do receive funding from the College of Graduate Studies. Therefore, you can contact that office with concerns or questions.
What types of events does the GSA offer?
The events differ based on what graduate students feel they need. The GSA often uses staff and faculty members' expertise in various areas to lead workshops. Examples of past events are Stress Management Techniques, Doctoral Discussions, and Bullying Workshops. If you have an idea for workshop, just let the GSA president know.
Why get involved with the GSA?
The GSA allows you to meet other students, become involved on campus, attend free workshops and seminars, and have a voice at Kutztown!
