Who is responsible for submitting Act 48 credits ? Educators who complete a credit course or Act 48 approved conference or workshop through Kutztown University must fill out one Act 48 form for each course, conference or workshop completed. The Act 48 form(s) should be submitted to the address on the top of the form or faxed to the Center for Lifelong Learning at 610-683-1362. The Center for Lifelong Learning and Professional Development will then electronically submit the credits/hours to the Pennsylvania Department of Education. The educator receives a confirmation letter for each course successfully submitted to the Penna. Dept. of Education. We ask that you allow at least a two week turn around period from the time you mail/fax your Act 48 form in to the Center for Lifelong Learning to the time you receive a confirmation letter via US mail. Go to: https://www.perm.ed.state.pa.us/progresschk.asp?sd=N Type in your social security number. Click submit. A list of all credits and hours submitted for Act 48 credit will be listed. Back to TopCan I submit any courses for Act 48 credit ? Courses for Act 48 credit that are submitted by Kutztown University must be approved, completed courses that were taken after your certification date. Courses that were taken at another institution and transferred into Kutztown University cannot be submitted for credit. Courses that began before your certification date, but were completed after your certification date will not be submitted. The Department may accept credits from courses that end after January 1, 2000. The only exception to this date is if you were certified after July 1, 2000. In this case your five-year period starts the date of the initial certificate is issued. Back to TopHow many courses do I need to satisfy my Act 48 requirements?
