Dr. Mary Ann Dailey, Department of Nursing, attended the September 17, 2007 hearing of the Professional Licensure Committee of the PA House of Representative, Dr. Mary Ann Dailey assisted Betsy Snook, RN, MSN, Executive Director of the PA State Nurses Association, with the presentation of testimony on HB 549: Nurse Licensure Compact.

Lisa Frye, Department of Computer Science, October 2007. Wireless Sensor Networks: Teaching and Learning. SIGITE 2007 annual conference (ACM’s Special Interest Group on Information Technology Education), Sandestin, Florida, October 18-20, 2007.

Dr. Marilyn Meder, Department of Nursing, presented “The Process of Surrender in the Treatment of Food Addiction” to the MidAtlantic Intergroup of Food Addicts Anonymous in Wilmington Delaware on February 20, 2007.

Dr. Marilyn Meder, Department of Nursing, presented at the Parish Nurse Fall Conference “The Caring Journey” held in Bethlehem, PA on October 12, 2007. She first presented a paper “The Counseling Role of the Parish Nurse” and then participated in several skits in the “Use of Humor in Healing” presentation

Dr. Geoffrey Moss, Anthropology/Sociology, presented a research poster titled "The New Urban Bohemia: Artists and Neighborhood Redevelopment in Lawrenceville Pittsburgh" at the annual conference of The American Sociological Association in New York City on August 11-14, 2007.

Dr. Judith S. Rauenzahn has a paper presentation on July 12th at the American Professional Society on the Abuse of Children’s annual convention, Boston, MA. Title: History of childhood physical or sexual abuse (or wondering) and attachment styles.

Dr. Glenn Richardson Jr., Department of Political Science, presented “Anatomy of a Smear: John Kerry, Vietnam, and the Swift Boat Veterans for Truth: The Contest for Meaning in the 2004 Presidential Campaign” at the 65th Annual National Meeting of the Midwest Political Science Association in Chicago, Illinois, April 12-15, 2007.

Dr. Glenn Richardson Jr., Department of Political Science, presented “Reason, Passion and Democracy in the Digital Age: Political Advertising and the American Republic in the 21st Century” at the Foundations of Political Theory Workshop on Political Myth, Rhetoric and Symbolism held during the 103rd Annual Meeting of the American Political Science Association in Chicago, Illinois, August 30-September 2, 2007.

Dr. Steven M. Schnell, Geography, September 19, 2007. “Food With the Farmer's Face on It: Community Supported Agriculture in the United States”; presentation to Kutztown Rotary Club.

Dr. Kim Shively, Anthropology/Sociology, presented a paper, “’The Sharp Edge of a Razor’: Negotiating Religious Identity in Turkey,” at the American Ethnological Society meetings in Toronto, Canada on May 11, 2007.

Dr. Pietro Toggia, Department of Criminal Justice, presented "Criminalizing the Urban Poor in Africa as a 'Dangerous Class' "at the American Society of Criminology Conference in Atlanta, Georgia on Friday, November 16, 2007.

Wells, C.V. Integrating ethics throughout the undergraduate psychology curriculum. Using hypothetical ethical dilemmas in Industrial/Organizational Psychology. Paper presented at American Psychological Association Meeting, San Francisco, August, 2007.
