Dr. Curt Herr, Department of English, published critical edition of Ellen Wood’s Victorian novel, Danesbury House, which has been selected for Fall 2008 publication by Whitlock Press.

Prof. William J. Jefferson and Dr. Daniel S. Spiegel had their paper, Implementation of a University Standard for Personal Response Systems, accepted for publication in the AACE (Association for Advancement of Computing in Education) Journal.

Dr. Pamela McMullin-Messier, Anthropology and Sociology, has contributed the following entries to the Encyclopedia of Social Problems (edited by Vincent N. Parillo) which was published May 21, 2008 by Sage Publications, Inc.: Family; Homophobia and Population, Graying of.

Dr. Donald McNamara, Department of English, contributed to the publication "The Irish in America" a three-volume work containing the contributions the Irish have made to American life. It is published by ABC-CLIO. The editors are James P. Byrne, Philip Coleman, and Jason King.  His contribution is "Canals and the Irish Involvement." It is an account of the extensive contribution Irish immigrants made to the construction of inland waterways in the United States and Canada, including the Erie Canal, in the 19th century. Published, March 2008.

Dr. Al Pisciotta, Department of Criminal Justice,  published three entries--Sojourner Truth, Harriet Tubman and Juvenile Justice--in  Richard Schaefer, Editor, Encyclopedia of Race, Ethnicity and Society (Los Angeles, CA: Sage Publications, 2008).

Dr. Daniel S. Spiegel, Prof. Lisa M. Frye, and Prof. Linda L. Day, all of the Department of Computer Science had their paper, "Issues in the Instantiation Of Template Classes" accepted for publication in the SIGCSE Bulletin Inroads. It will appear in the June 2008 issue.

Jeffrey Voccola, Department of English, edited a translation of "Skipper Worse," by 19th century Norwegian writer Alexander Kielland.  Translation by Christopher Fauske. New York: Cross-Cultural Communications, 2008.
