Please read the Placement Test Brochure for a detailed description of policy and procedure regarding the test and Modern Language Studies introductory and intermediate level courses.

To take the placement test you will be required to enter the following password:

 bears1 (one word, lower case)

Once you enter the password, select the language of the test you would like to take, complete the required survey as prompted, then begin the test.  You must complete the entire test once you begin, and you will not be able to go back and view or change any answers after moving on to the next question.

When you complete the test your score will be recorded and the appropriate level KU course will be suggested.  If you have any questions or doubts about the placement recommendation, please discuss your concerns with a member of the Modern Language Studies department so that we can assist you with appropriate course selection.
