Software Resources
In addition to the language-specific resources listed on the pages linked in the left menu, the LRC offers critical alternative configuratons of the Operating Systems and the Microsoft Office Suites which may not be available currently on other computers on campus.
Our computers have the language packages for Microsoft Office loaded, allowing students to adjust the input language in the programs so that they do not "auto-correct" student input to English. Students may also run Microsoft Word spelling and grammar checks on compositions written in international languages.
Our computers are also configured to allow students to change the language of input to Chinese, French, German, Spanish or English International, making it easier for students to input non-roman text, accents and special characters that would require alt codes on other computer configurations.
