KU Student Wins First Place Intercollegiate Student Chemist Convention Jessica Pietruch (a senior B.S. Chem major) won a First Place Award at in the Analytical Division at the 72nd annual Intercollegiate Student Chemist Convention this past weekend at Elizabethtown College. I was updating chemistry’s undergraduate research web pages this morning with this information, and thought I would pass this along. I exported the page to a word document to make it easier to view. The bulk of presenters at this conference were from places like Franklin and Marshall, Lebanon Valley College, Muhlenberg, Ursinus, Drexel, Univ. of Delaware, etc. who have strong reputations for undergraduate research in chemistry. It was particularly sweet to watch Jessica accept this award in front of this audience. The second place winner in the Analytical Division was from Bucknell.
