About the Program:

Since 1977, the RN-BSN Program at Kutztown University has met the unique needs of registered nurses who initially completed an approved diploma or associate degree in nursing program and now seek a bachelor's degree. This Baccalaureate completion program offers practicing nurses the flexibility of taking courses at their own pace through part-time or full-time study. Since all nursing courses are also available through an online format, nurses residing in Pennsylvania or out-of-state can complete courses while sitting at their home computer. Courses are designed to meet the needs of adult learners, as they encourage critical thinking and the application of theoretical principles in the practice setting. Based upon transfer credit approval and completion of general education and support courses for the nursing major, students can complete the nursing courses in as little as five semesters, including two summer sessions (see samples below).

Admission Requirements:

Proof of graduation from an approved RN program.
Proof of a current RN license.
Submission of official copies of transcripts from all post-secondary schools attended.

Application

Please follow these procedures for the application process:

Apply for admission to the University through the Admissions Office by completing an application and paying the application fee. The application is now available online through the Admissions Office web page. Applications can also be requested by calling the Nursing Department 610-683-4330 or the Admissions Office 610-683-4787.
Send official transcripts from school of nursing and/or colleges attended as well as high school transcript to the Admissions Office.
Send a photocopy of your validated Pennsylvania registered nurse's license to the Admissions Office.
Set up an appointment with the Nursing Department Chairperson for an individual session to assist in planning an individualized program and progression sequence.
