   Political Science

The Department of Political Science at Kutztown University offers studies in a variety of fields to prepare students for the Bachelor of Arts degree in Political Science, the Bachelor of Arts with Paralegal Studies, the Bachelor of Science degree in Public Administration, the Bachelor of Science with Paralegal Studies, minors in political science and public administration and a Master's Degree in Public Administration. The Department has designed a curriculum that prepares students for careers in fields such as law, public affairs, business, education and the media, and for advanced study at the graduate level.

Political science students have the unique opportunity to earn credits while participating in a wide-range of exciting and meaningful semester-length internships. KU students have worked in Washington, D.C. with Pennsylvania's United States Senators and with federal agencies including the CIA, with legislative leaders in the General Assembly, the Attorney General, and state agencies in Harrisburg, and with mayors, managers, city planners and local agencies throughout the Commonwealth.

The Political Science faculty at Kutztown University bring a wealth of diverse experiences to the classroom. All hold the Ph.D. or J.D. degree. All are active scholars deeply committed to and passionate about teaching. Their extensive academic preparation, combined with a variety of social and cultural backgrounds, broad and rich practical experience and contacts open new vistas and opportunities for students. The political science faculty is dedicated to helping students attain the best possible education by providing the inspiration, guidance and personal attention that will make their experience in the Department most worthwhile.
