The "Dropbox" lets you submit assignments through the Learning Environment, eliminating the need to mail, fax, or email assignments. Simply upload your assignment to the appropriate folder.
To access the Dropbox tool, click the Dropbox link in the course navigation bar.
From the "Folder List" page you can view:
A list of assignment folders and related attachments.
Group and personal assignment folders.
The number of assignments that you submitted to each folder.
Feedback, if provided, from your professor.
Submitting Assignments
From the "Dropbox Folders" page, click the name of the folder that you want to submit an assignment to, and then do the following:
Click the "Add a File" button. The screen shown below will appear.
Browse to locate the desired file.
Click the "Add" button to locate any additional files to be uploaded.
Click the "Upload" button to post your work.
Click the "Submit" button to post your work.
Group Assignment Folders
If your professor is using the group feature in D2L, he/she may also create group dropbox folders. These dropbox folders have a "Group Folder" icon beside their name. Any user in your group can submit files to the group folder. The Submissions column in the "Folder List" lets you know how many files your group has submitted. The "Submission History" page provides details on who submitted files.
Reviewing Your Submission History
You can use the "History" option in D2L to review prior submissions.
On the Dropbox Folders page, click on the History button.
Click a folder to view past submissions.
Viewing Feedback
The "Feedback" feature allows you to view any feedback your professor has posted.
From the Dropbox Folders page, click the View icon in the Feedback column for a folder.
View your comments, grades, and /or rubric achievement.
Click Download All Files to download any attachments.
