A Student's View of D2L

Tutorial Overview

In Summer 2010, Kutztown University changed Learning Management Systems from Blackboard to Desire2Learn (D2L). This document provides a basic overview of D2L. If you are familiar with Blackboard, you should find the features in D2L intuitive.

Tutorial Overview

The D2L system facilitates online access to course materials and enables communication outside the classroom through the Internet. This tutorial explains the basic features in the D2L Learning Management System.

Please note that your professor controls the content placed in D2L. Also note that your professor may, or may not, use D2L. D2L course shells are created for every class, but that does not mean each of your professors will be using the D2L system. Check with your professors to see if they are using D2L. Your professors will indicate how often you should check D2L and what content will be made available in D2L.
