Use the Quizzes tool to take a quiz, review your quiz results, and see class statistics for a quiz.
Accessing the Quizzes Tool
- Click on the Quizzes link on the course navigation bar.
Taking a Quiz
From the main Quiz List:
- Click on the name of the quiz you wish to take.
- Be sure to carefully read the instructions and details for the quiz. Click the "Start Quiz" link when you are ready to begin.
- The Start Quiz Confirmation screen will appear. Click OK to begin your quiz.
- Answer the quiz questions by selecting an answer from the list of options or by filling in the appropriate text field. Click on the Save button after every question. Monitor your progress by checking the Quiz info area on the left-hand side of the screen. Click the image below to see a larger example.
- If your quiz contains more than one page, click the Next Page or Previous Page icons to move between pages.
- Click on the "Go to Submit Quiz" button when you are ready to submit your quiz. The quiz confirmation screen will appear.
Unanswered Questions:
If you attempt to submit a quiz with unanswered questions, you will see a warning at the top of the Submit Quiz page. Click the links below the warning to return to the unanswered questions. Click on the image below to view a larger example.
If you are ready to submit your quiz, click on the Submit Quiz button.
- A final prompt will appear asking you to confirm that you are ready to submit your completed quiz. Click "Yes" to submit the quiz or "No" to continue working on the quiz.
Time Restricted Quizzes
If your quiz has a time limit, you may be prompted to submit your quiz, or your quiz may be automatically submitted. If the quiz is configured to auto-submit at the end of the time period, only saved questions will be submitted. Make sure you save regularly near the end of the quiz period and try to finish and submit your quiz before time expires.
Reviewing Questions
It is a good idea to review your quiz before you submit it. You can review questions using the Next/Previous page icons or by clicking the question number in the Quiz Info widget. When you are done reviewing your answers, click the Go to Submit Quiz button.
Viewing your Submission Information and Graded Quizzes
To access information about your submissions and to see your quiz score:
- From the main Quiz List, click on the Submissions icon beside the quiz you want to view.
Note: Grades and statistical information are not available until they are released by your professor.
