2008~ Zone 3 Western Super Zone Qualifiers are Junior Lauren Casale in Open Reining, and Junior Jessi Robinson in Class 13 Novice Horsemanship. Good Luck Girls! The Kutztown Equestrian's Western Team was also Zone 3 Regions 1, 3, and 4 Reserve Champion Team
2007 ~ Zone 3, Region 4 Hunt Seat Grand Champions, Stock Seat Reserve Champions, National riders were Lauren Casale, Linda Beyer, and Alumni Riders, Chyrstal Coffelt and Leah Moyer
2006 ~ Zone 3, Region 4, Hunt Seat Reserve Champions, and Stock Seat Reserve Champions, National Riders were Christine Geib, Lauren Casale, Molly Lowman, Alumni Riders Chrystal Coffelt and Leah Moyer
2005 ~ Zone 3, Region 3/4 Stock Seat Reserve Champions
With 4 team members (Tara Davies, Jennifer Gradel, Megan Lissi, and Cole Warminsky) qualifying for the IHSA National Championships in Ohio, KU sent more individual undergraduate riders to Nationals than any other school in the Zone. Zone 3 encompasses parts of 7 states and is the largest zone by number of competitors in the IHSA, with over 1100 individual riders from 57 different colleges and universities. KU also had one of the highest percentages of individual riders from any one team placing at Nationals.
2004 ~ KU finished
in the elite group this year. We did what no other team has done since the
inception of Zone 3, Region 4. We won it all. We were the Z3R4 Hunt Seat
Champions, and we were the Z3R3/4 Stock Seat Champions. We went on to win the
Zone Championship in Stock Seat and sent our nationally ranked team to the
National Championships in Tenneessee. We also sent Zone Champion W-T-C rider
Ashley Werner and Zone Champion Individual Open Flat rider Ashley Force, reserve
in the R4 Cacchione Cup race, on to the big dance. In all, KU sent an
astonishing 10 riders to the IHSA National Championships, a feat unequaled in
our Zone's recent history.
