Honorary Degree Selection Process 

• Nominations will be accepted on a nomination from any member of the University community.

• Nominations shall be sent to the chair of the Honorary Degree Committee.

• The committee shall review and evaluate the candidates in relationship to the approved guidelines.

• The proposed name shall be recommended by the Distinguished Visiting Professorships and Honorary Degree Committee to the Senate Executive Committee.  The name, if approved, will be forwarded by the Senate Executive Committee to the University President and announced to the Senate.

• The President shall submit names of recommended candidates to the Council of Trustees for approval.
