KUTZTOWN UNIVERSITY 

Invitation for Bids 

Stratton Administration Center Data Center Upgrade and Renovation, KUCC-0080 

Sealed bids will be received in the Facilities Project Services office, Room 229, I-Wing, Old Main, Kutztown University, until 2:00 PM prevailing time on February 14, 2012.  Late submissions will not be accepted. 

The project consists of the renovation of a portion of the Data Center in the Stratton Administration Center.  The work includes the removal and replacement of existing interior construction, finishes and mechanical and electrical systems, and construction of a new lobby, electrical room and equipment yard on the south side of the building.  Work includes, but is not limited to, the furnishing of all labor, superintendence, materials, tools and equipment, and performing all construction work necessary to complete the project.  The work will be performed under separate prime contracts for construction which will include General Construction, HVAC Construction, Plumbing Construction, and Electrical Construction. 

A MANDATORY pre-bid conference will be held on January 24, 2012 at 1:30 PM in the McFarland Student Union Building, Alumni Auditorium, Room 183.  Bids will not be accepted from contractors not attending this pre-bid conference. 

Invitation for Bids packet is available for a non-refundable fee of $100.00 from STV Architects, Attn: Karen Mauger, 205 W. Welsh Dr., Douglassville, PA  19518; Phone: 610-385-8481, Fax: 610-385-7832, and is only available January 16, 2012 through January 27, 2012.  Make check payable to “STV Architects”.  Packet will not be furnished until fee is received. 

 Authorized Document Source:  Invitations for Bids, including any specifications, plans, and drawings for this project must be procured from either Kutztown University, or the University’s designated professional.  Due to the possible inaccuracies in documents procured from other sources, and the potential for an incomplete understanding of the project scope of work, bids submitted by firms who procure these documents from any other source but the authorized source will be considered non-responsive and will be rejected.

Lehigh Hall Life Cycle Renovations, KUCC-0040 

Sealed bids will be received in the Facilities Project Services office, Room 229, I-Wing, Old Main, Kutztown University, until 2:00 PM prevailing time on February 7, 2012.  Late submissions will not be accepted. 

The project consists of the renovation of Lehigh Hall to include upgrades to all building systems.  Work includes, but is not limited to, the furnishing of all labor, superintendence, materials, tools and equipment, and performing all construction work necessary to complete the project.  The work will be performed under separate prime contracts for construction which will include General Construction, HVAC Construction, Plumbing Construction, and Electrical Construction.
