2. What happens if I make an appointment with the AOD counselor?

You will meet with the AOD counselor for a confidential assessment. This assessment typically lasts one hour. The counselor will ask you a number of questions to determine what type of counseling would be best for you. If necessary, referrals to outside agencies may be made. If the services offered at KU are appropriate for you, then the counselor will work out the frequency and times you will meet for counseling. Sometimes outside support groups, such as Alcoholics Anonymous, are recommended in addition to counseling.

You can call the AOD Specialist at (610) 683-4240 to set up a program.

4. Where can I get AOD resources?

5. What can I do if I suspect my friend/family member has a problem with AOD?
