Welcome to Assessment at Kutztown University!

Kutztown University is committed to evaluating the effectiveness of all of the university's work. The primary role of the Office of Assessment is to partner with members of the campus community to facilitate the assessment process and in doing so contribute to Kutztown University’s mission of providing high quality undergraduate and graduate education that prepares students to meet lifelong intellectual, ethical, social, and career challenges.

Broadly speaking, assessment at Kutztown University occurs at three levels:

  • the effectiveness of departments and programs to positively impact student learning outcomes;
  • the effectiveness of the General Education curriculum to positively impact student learning outcomes;
  • the effectiveness of the institution overall to positively impact student learning outcomes and related goals.

The Kutztown University Assessment website provides details about the work that is being conducted at each of these three levels. In addition, there are a variety of resources that might assist members of this and other campus communities as assessment activities are being planned and implemented.
