Welcome to Kutztown University's on-line
training program.
Hazardous waste in the U.S. is
governed by regulations written and enforced by the Environmental
Protection Agency (EPA) and by the Pennsylvania Department of
Environmental Protection (DEP). The Resource Conservation
and Recovery Act (RCRA) has strict requirements for handling
hazardous waste - particularly the requirement for "cradle to
grave" tracking of these wastes. Employees who handle
hazardous waste need to understand
the basic requirements of RCRA and the EPA regulations, and to
take procedures for handling hazardous waste very seriously.
This on-line training program is designed to
educate Kutztown University employees on the importance and
benefits of properly disposing of hazardous
waste. Ultimately, our aim is to continue heightening employee
safety awareness as well as complying with the
"The Resource Conservation and Recovery Act". Click the
