Kutztown University Facilities employs several electricians to assist the campus community with their electrical maintenance needs. Facilities electricians maintain, repair, and install both interior and exterior lighting, electrical motors, exhaust fans, assist in urgent elevator repair calls, and support the electrical infrastructure of the Kutztown University Campus. Facilities electricians also provide special event support by providing temporary power sources for both indoor and outdoor events.

The Kutztown University Facilities Mechanical shop can be further subdivided into several technical areas. The following skilled trades areas are included in the Mechanical shop services:
Heating, Ventilating and Air Conditioning (HVAC)
The HVAC technicians maintain, repair, and install system components to keep our air conditioning and building systems operating properly
The temperature controls portion of the Mechanical shop provides support to the building air conditioning systems and heating systems by maintaining electronic HVAC systems and its components.
The Water Treatment section of the mechanical shop provides services related to chemical water treatment and testing, pool monitoring, and assists the HVAC technicians with water treatment needs as it relates to components in the campus heating and air conditioning systems.
Facilities plumbers maintain faucets, sinks, showers, toilets, urinals, and tubs as well as any other water-related fixtures and systems on campus. This shop supports special events by providing temporary water sources for selected outside activities, underground water utilities and sources, and other water-related infrastructure components.
