• SGA funding (budgets) can be available to all "SGA Gold Status" student organizations and are provided to the organizations by the Student Government Association (S.G.A.) from the Student Activity Fee.
   
• Spending from budget accounts must be used for the benefit of all undergraduate students (who pay the student activity fee) or for the operation of the "SGA Gold Status" student organization.
   
• All "SGA Gold Status" student organizations receiving SGA funding must keep their own financial records.  These records are subject to review upon request of the SGB Treasurer, President or Advisor.
   
• Budget funding may not be used to:
       ٭  Pay the salary of any coach
       ٭  Fund religious or political activities (Board of Governors Policy 1983-03A)
       ٭  Fund groups whose membership is not open to any student who has paid the
           undergraduate student activity fee.
       ٭  Make charitable contributions or gift purchases
       ٭  Pay for admission to amusement parks (unless attending the park is consistent with
           the organization's mission and statement of purpose)
       ٭  Pay for meals or food for members (including meals at conferences or workshops,
           fieldtrips, food or refreshments at regular meetings where no special event is planned)
       ٭  Purchase clothing or personal items to be kept by club members
       ٭  Front the cost of fundraising activities
       ٭  Make loans to any other organization or club member
       ٭  Reimburse individuals, students, faculty or staff for stolen, lost or damaged personal
           property
       ٭  Purchase alcohol, tobacco products or any illegal substances
       ٭  Purchase items of equipment costing $500 or more with a life of two (2) or more years
           without special permission from the Student Government Board
       ٭  Pay for advisor and/or graduate assistant's expenses relating to a conference and/or
           workshop
   
• Student organizations are mailed a monthly account statement.  If a student organization would like more detail account information regarding their budget account, they may request additional financial reports through the KUSSI Service Center during their hours of operation.
   
• The KUSSI Service Center (MSU 171) is always available to help student organizations complete forms, schedule committee meetings and answer general questions.
