Budget Process

1. In late September, SGA Gold Status student organizations that have registered with the Office of Student Union and Involvement Services will receive their SGA budget packets to request SGA funding for the following academic fiscal year.
   If your organization does not receive an SGA budget packet in your campus mailbox, packets are also available in the KUSSI Service Center (MSU 171).
    
2. In October, SGA Gold Status student organizations submit their completed budget packets to the KUSSI Service Center by the announced deadline.  At this time, student organizations may also sign up for an optional budget hearing to meet with the SGB Budget and Finance Committee.  Budget hearings are only required for identified "Standing Committees."
    
3. In November, the preliminary budget allocations are posted in the KUSSI Service Center for review.  Student organizations may schedule an appeal meeting with the SGB Budget and Finance Committee to discuss concerns regarding the preliminary allocations.
    
4. In July, the final approved budget, along with student organization allocations, is available for use in the new academic year.
