Opening a Private Account

A private account may be
opened by any registered, "SGA Maroon Status" and "SGA Gold
Status" student organization.

To open an account, the
organizations' treasurer will need to bring all funds to be
deposited to the KUSSI Service Center (MSU 171). At that
time, a KUSSI Service staff member will open an account for the
organization and explain the procedure for depositing and
withdrawing funds.

Private accounts are used to
deposit money from fundraising, donation, or any other source of
funding unrelated to the Student Activity Fee. In
addition, private account balances carry over from year to year.

Student organizations may
spend funds from their private account on any purchase except
alcohol, tobacco products, illegal substances, or those
guidelines established by Kutztown University.

Private account statements
will be distributed monthly to student organizations via campus
mail box, by the KUSSI Service Center.

Account statements are also
available upon request by student organizations' treasurers
during the KUSSI Service Center's hours of operation.
