Dr. Jeanie Burnett, Department of Elementary Education, attended the National Council of Accreditation for Teacher Education (NCATE) training online, September 2007; the ACEI/NCATE program review meeting, Alexandria, Va., September 2007; the ACEI Executive Board mid-year meeting, Silver Spring/Olney, Md., October 2007; and attended and acted as facilitator for KU Teacher Ambassadors, Keystone State Reading Association Conference, Hershey, October 2007. 

Dr. Richard Courtney, Department of Geography, attended the inaugural meeting of the PASSHE Geographic Information Systems Users Consortium hosted by the Kutztown University Geography Department, September 2007. 

Dr. Mary Ann Dailey, Department of Nursing, attended the 39th Annual Conference of the National Association of School Nurses, Nashville, Tenn., June–July 2007; the fall meeting of the Pennsylvania Higher Education Nursing Schools Association, Harrisburg, October 2007; and the Annual Summit Meeting of the PA State Nurses Association, Harrisburg, October 2007. 

Raymond J. Dalfonso, Department of Special Education, attended the fall workshop of the Northeastern Speech-Language-Hearing Association of Pennsylvania, Lake Harmony, October 2007. 

Dr. Rosemary Fliszar, Department of Nursing, attended the PLN program “Using Human Simulators in a Psychiatric Nursing Course,” October 2007. 

Lisa Frye, Department of Computer Science, attended “Wireless Sensor Networks: Teaching and Learning,” the ACM Special Interest Group on Information Technology Education Annual Conference, Sandestin, Fla., October 2007.

 Jay Gallagher, coordinator of intramurals, Department of Recreational Services, attended the Pennsylvania Intramural and Recreational Sports Association (PIRSA) state workshop, Lewisburg, September 2007. Gallagher is the secretary/treasurer of PIRSA with a term running through 2009. 

Dr. Carrie Gardner, Department of Library Science and Instructional Technology, attended the board of directors meeting of the Pennsylvania Citizens for Better Libraries, State College, October 2007, and the National Conference of the American Association of School Librarians, Reno, Nev., October 2007.

Dr. Elsa Geskus, Department of Elementary Education, attended the PA-NAECTE for Early Childhood, Shippensburg, October 2007, and the 2007 Assessment Institute, Indianapolis, Ind., November 2007.
