Kevin McCloskey,
Department of Communication Design, wrote about Berks County tomato
farmer, Tim Stark, for the online magazine, Commonsense2, September
2008, issue. His essay, “Riding Shotgun with Tim Stark,” was an
account of a journey by truck with Mr. Stark from his farm near
Kutztown to produce markets in the Bronx, N.Y.

County farmer, Tim Stark, author of the new book, “Heirloom: Notes
from an Accidental Tomato Farmer.” The interview illustrated
with photos by McCloskey appears in the monthly online journal,
Commonsense2, September issue.
Kevin McCloskey,

Cosas Cambian/Until Things Change" about the UCLA Mexican print
exhibition for the online magazine, Commonsense2.com.
Dr. Marilyn Meder,
Department of Nursing, is co-editor for Lilies of the Valley, the
regional newsletter for parish nurses in the greater Allentown
area. In this capacity Meder is a regular contributor of articles
related to the Holistic Health and Spirituality.
Dr. Mary Ogletree,
Department of Music, on Sept. 13, 2008, served in the orchestra for
the recording of a new opera by Paul Salerni and Dana Gioaia, titled
“The Final Broadcast of Tony Caruso.” The CD will be released by
Albany in spring 2009.
