Message from the Director

This is a very exciting time at the alumni office as we send you this, our very first e-newsletter. We are hoping that this newsletter will help you keep informed about and connected with the many exciting things your alma mater is doing. As you get this and subsequent issues of our e-newsletter you will see that KU is really on the cutting edge of many programs and initiatives. And, it is truly a beautiful campus – a place to be proud of and hopefully return to often. Spring on campus is a busy time.

We recently hosted our Alumni Weekend activities including our annual alumni art show and class reunions dating back to the class of 1929. On May 8th KU graduated the largest class ever and the class of 1954 was back participating in the commencement ceremonies, charming the undergraduates with their stories and vitality. This 50th year class presented Dr. Cevallos with a scholarship gift of over $28,000. WOW! What a fine legacy of helping current students to be able to experience and enjoy Kutztown University.

I encourage you to keep in touch often and visit us when you can.

Best Regards,

Director of Alumni Communications

So, send your ideas to alumni@kutztown.edu by August 31 for consideration. If we choose your submission, we’ll feature you in the next newsletter and send you a KU sweatshirt.

Advancing Your University

What is the KU Foundation?

The KU Foundation is a private corporation established as the fund-raising agency of Kutztown University. The Foundation was established in 1983 when the Kutztown College Foundation and the George B. Hancher Endowment Fund were merged. This merger brought all university fund-raising into one unified effort. The Foundation status provides donors with the assurance that their funds will be used only as they indicated and that gifts cannot be controlled by the state. Foundation resources are used to address University-identified needs.
