The
2004-05 school year is just a few weeks old, and already many
of Kutztown's athletics teams are making their mark on the regional
scene. Five of the fall sports teams finished the month of September
ranked among the top teams in the region, and a sixth team is
off to one of the best starts in school history.
The field
hockey team is ranked sixth in the nation among NCAA Division
II teams. The women's and men's cross country teams are ranked
third and seventh in the region, respectively. The men's soccer
team is ranked fifth in its region. The football team entered
the regional rankings at #7. Finally, KU's volleyball team is
off to a fast start, ending the month of September with a 15-3
record and a perfect 4-0 mark in the Pennsylvania State Athletic
Conference Eastern Division. The squad is on pace to match last
year's perfect 10-0 PSAC East record and advance to the PSAC
playoffs once again.
