KUTZTOWN'S MATT ROWAN PLACES 12th IN 50 FREE
BUFFALO, NY - Kutztown University men's swimmer Matt Rowan placed 12th in the finals of the 50 free at the NCAA Division II Championships, on day one of the four-day event.
Rowan swam a 20.86 in the finals, after breaking his school record with a time of 20.84 earlier in the day during the preliminaries.
Rowan will compete on Friday in the 100 back and Saturday in the 100 free.
Friday, March 12 – Day 3 of 4
BUFFALO, NY – Kutztown senior Matt Rowan finished 16th in the men’s 100 back at the Division II Championships, with time of 52.57 in the finals. Rowan has now scored in both events in which he has competed, after finishing 12th in the 50 free on Wednesday. He will look to make it 3-for-3 on Saturday, when he swims in the 100 free.
Saturday, March 13 - Day 4 of 4
BUFFALO, NY - Matt Rowan placed 23rd in the 100 free at the Division II NCAA Championships. Rowan's time in the event was 46.42. Earlier in the week, the senior placed 12th in the 50 free (20.86) and 16th in the 100 back (52.57).
