ALTAMONTE SPRINGS, Fla. - KU ran into trouble against the No. 20 team in the country, BYU-Hawaii, falling 5-0 in the Round of 16 at the NCAA Division II Men's Tennis Championships.

After falling behind 3-0 after the doubles competition, Kutztown dropped matches at the fourth and fifth singles positions as the Seasiders advanced to the quarterfinals.

On the doubles courts, Jakub Huza and Jeff Rice notched BYU-Hawaii's first team point as they defeated Ilja Semjonovs and Lukas Beman by the score of 8-1 at the third spot. Finishing at the No. 2 position with an 8-2, Dorian Porada and Leon So'onalole took down Kutztown's Somdeep Appineni and Radoslaw Hlubinski for the 2-0 lead.

At first doubles, Mukundan Nandakumar and Harsh Sharma suffered their first doubles loss of the season, as the BYU-Hawaii tandem broke the duo's 16-match win streak with an 8-6 decision. The Seasider team of Dillon Porter and Junyoung Kim entered the competition ranked ninth in the nation.
