MILLERSVILLE, PA –
Slippery Rock ended Kutztown’s women’s tennis season with a 5-2 win
in the first round of the NCAA Division II East Regional at
Millersville University.
Katie Rohrbach
and Priya Pachkawde won 8-3 at second doubles, but KU
dropped the other two to fall behind 2-1. Jharna Nansi was
KU’s lone singles winner, taking third seed 6-3, 6-2. Kerstin
Kloeffer and Kristen Bodalski led their matches at first
and sixth seed, respectively, however the Golden Bears dropped the
other three singles matches.
Kutztown’s season
comes to a close with a 10-8 record. Slippery Rock advances to the
second round to face Millersville.
