SHIPPENSBURG, Pa.  — Rohini Das (so. Kolkata, INDIA) and Barbara Joerns (so. Ludwigshafen, GERMANY) lost in the semifinals of the PSAC women's doubles championship Sunday morning.  KU's duo fell to Sam Blackburn and Kayla Blackburn of Slippery Rock, 8-5. 

Day 1 Recap (Oct. 6, 2007)

SHIPPENSBURG, Pa.  — Rohini Das (so. Kolkata, INDIA) and Barbara Joerns (so. Ludwigshafen, GERMANY), seeded No. 4, will compete in the semifinals of the Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference Doubles Championships Sunday after winning their quarterfinal match Saturday at Shippensburg.

Das, who lost in the quarterfinals of the singles bracket, and Joerns defeated West Chester's Maria Kostaris and Rose Conwell 8-1 to set up Sunday's semifinal.

Sabrina Arnaud (so. Quebec, QUE/Levy Laurzon) defeated Rhea Miles, of Cheyney, 6-1, 6-0 in the first round of the singles bracket before falling 6-0, 6-0 to Inga Chiligaryan, of California (Pa.).
