SATURDAY, MAY 15
The Kutztown University women’s track & field team placed third at the PSAC Outdoor Championships, while the men finished fourth as a team. 
     Niya Adams
and Alison Maurer scored individual titles for the women.  Adams won the 800-meter run with a time of 2:12.46 and Maurer threw the discus 126-2.  Adams' time was an NCAA provisional qualifying time and marked her fourth career championship in the 800.  Sara Otis and Jessie Spence also ran provisional times.  Spence clocked the second place time of 11:21.83 in the 3,000-meter steeplechase and Otis ran a 1:03.20 in the 400-meter hurdles to finish third.  Adams and Otis also ran on the winning 4x400-meter relay with Laura Kline and Jaci Pfeiffer.  The foursome combined for a time of 3:55.37.
     Justin Collins added his second title in as many days for the men.  After winning the long jump on Friday, Collins added the triple jump title with a winning mark of 48-5 1/4.  The distance is an NCAA provisional mark.  Sean Loomis won the men's pole vault crown by clearing 14-11.  Greg Yerkes placed third in the 3,000-meter steeplechase with a provisional qualifying time of 9:21.70.  In the javelin, Dan Wilson reached the NCAA provisional distance with his throw of 199-8, good for sixth place.

FRIDAY, MAY 14
     After the first full day of competition, the Golden Bear men sit in third place at the PSAC Championships at Slippery Rock.  Justin Collins set a meet record with a leap of 25-0 3/4 in the long jump, also an NCAA provisional mark.  In the decathlon, Steve Winters finished second with a score of 6528, which is an NCAA provisional score.  The women, meanwhile, are in sixth after one full day.  Steph Sukal placed third in the pole vault by clearing 10-2 to pace KU.  The host school, Slippery Rock, leads both the men's and women's competitions.
