After the first full day of
competition, the Golden Bear men sit in third place at the PSAC
Championships at Slippery Rock. Justin Collins set a
meet record with a leap of 25-0 3/4 in the long jump, also an NCAA
provisional mark. In the decathlon, Steve Winters
finished second with a score of 6528, which is an NCAA provisional
score. The women, meanwhile, are in sixth after one full day.
Steph Sukal placed third in the pole vault by clearing 10-2
to pace KU.
The host school, Slippery Rock, leads both the men's and women's
competitions.
