LORD NINTH IN DISCUS
Abilene, TX - Kutztown's Elizabeth Lord (sr. Shillington/Governor
Mifflin) placed ninth in the women's discus at the NCAA Outdoor
Track & Field Championships hosted by Abilene Christian University
in Abilene, Texas.
Lord's throw of 152-11 finished ninth, one place out of the
scoring. The top eight finishers in each event score team
points. Cal-State Bakersfield had the top two finishers in the
event, including champion Cecilia Barnes, who had the winning mark
of 189-06.
The performance was a season-best for Lord by over a foot.
Her previous best throw was a 151-10 at the Lehigh Games.

WILSON PLACES 11th IN JAVELIN
Abilene, TX - Dan Wilson (so. Hatboro/Hatboro-Horsham)
finished 11th in the men's javelin, representing Kutztown at the NCAA
Outdoor Track & Field Championships hosted by Abilene Christian
University in Abilene, Texas.
Wilson, the Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference champion
in the javelin, was 11th with his mark of 193-11. Jon
Rozborski of Cal State-Chico won the NCAA crown with a throw of
226-10. The top eight finishers in each event score team
points.

Maurer |
MAURER ALL-AMERICAN IN HAMMER THROW
Abilene, TX - Kutztown's Alison Maurer (jr. Lewisberry/Northern York) finished seventh in the women's
hammer throw at the NCAA Outdoor Track & Field Championships hosted by
Abilene Christian University in Abilene, Texas.
In addition to scoring team points, the top eight in each event receive
All-American accolades. Maurer earned two points for the Golden
Bear women with her finish.
Maurer's best throw of the afternoon traveled 175-11 and was good for
seventh place. Cal State Bakersfield had
the top two finishers in the event, including champion April Burton, who
notched the winning toss of 205-11.
The throw was a season-best for Maurer by a foot and a half. Her
previous best throw came at Bucknell and was measured at 174-5.
Kutztown finished 52nd of 53 teams that scored points at the meet.
